Further to previous correspondence relating to the above matter, I write to inform you that the applicant has asked for the application to be withdrawn. Accordingly, we have stopped all work on processing the application and no decision will be made. There is no right of appeal against such a decision.

It’s likely that in time such a site will eventually be combined with neighbouring buildings and even bigger redevelopments will follow. At least, that’s my prediction of how Mill Road could go in future, being identified by the City Council plan as an ‘area of opportunity’. There will be more upmarket accommodation and fewer shops.
